Meet Dr. Wilson

I am Dr. Tashya Wilson, a licensed clinical psychologist and parent of two children. I earned my Master of Education degree in Counseling Psychology from Howard University and my Doctor of Psychology degree in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology. I am licensed to practice independently in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. My psychology residency and Post-doctoral fellowship were completed at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland, where I served as Chief Resident.

I previously held a full-time position at Kennedy Krieger Institute in the Specialized Transition Program (STP) working with children and adolescents with brain injuries, cerebral palsy, hemiplegia, chronic pain, and functional disabilities. I am a strong advocate of integrated and collaborative care. I believe that to create meaningful, long-term change, it is necessary to work collaboratively with parents and other professionals in a child’s life. This may include working with teachers, guidance counselors, pediatricians, psychiatrists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, or other caregivers and family members who have active roles in your child’s life.

One of my greatest joys is helping children, adolescents, and families thrive. I also enjoy working with college-aged and early adults as they transition to a new phase of life.

I look forward to working with you and your family!
